initial period of the organised electronic music publishing within our group
actually began in december 1997 with digital music module releases (mod,
xm, it, dbm, med...) packed and released in lha archives on aminet and bbs's. it took
some time until we thought we should have some website support for this.
also we needed a space which could provide some information about our concerts,
parties and audio releases other than modules (tape and cd).with the idea to have complete information about music developments in corrosion (our base group at that time) gathered at one place - CRSMUSIC was born.
aug01 - feb02
having
advanced in various ways, we have started the development on new website.
straightforward in it's design and function, CRSMUSICv3 was here to make
the actual soundwork more visible.this was also a time where different sound projects have developed their own material with webpages, so this version was trying to provide direct access to those as well.
although this was a good start for further development, it was stopped with the arguments of being 'nodesign' oriented, so the final decision from the creator of this one was to let the 'designers' have a try...
feb02 - dec02
as
a result of the 'designing efforts', we have come to version 4 of the crsmusic
site, still keeping CORROSION name although it was already obvious that
corrosion has merged into KOSMOPLOVCI. this merge was not a simple joinup,
it has brought to us a wide variety of innovation, new ideas, concepts and
raised (or at least changed) standards in creation.although this site was interesting in a way that it partly reflected our researches, it design was too literal and annoyed us very soon, so the decision has been made to sit down and work out a next generation website which would provide more accurate atmosphere...

than working and reworking the websites, corrosion/kosmoplovci music sector
have made a series of radio transmissions from december01 until july02.
these experimental weekly broadcasts contained our fresh music developments
combined with live radio drama participated by complete kosmoplovci posse.
it was a great time where we had a chance to broadcast music which nowhere
else can be heard of, and it was not only ours - we searched continously
to present the most interesting music developments we could find on the
net and elsewhere.this project has recently been reactivated.
dec02 - nov04
with version 5, corrosion music has finally detached from the haunting
corrosion labeling and initiated a rather controversial name floating
joint as it's official music label. with the making of floatingjointweb,
we have tried to transform our drawings and illustrations into a live
animated interface. also, the interaction was moved away from the usual
text fields to the graphical simbols and automaton voice, which added
to creating intended sf atmosphere. unfortunatelly, this piece was made
long time ago when we didn't have much experience in flash, so it was
born with some unrepairable technicalities which makes it hard to update
and forces reloading of complete site each time it changes.
also, being online for full 2 years, we thought it was a time to develop
something new, more appropriate for our current standards.
