When we were first approached by EYAS in order to make an exhibition concerning CyberPunk, computers and art, we had only a vague idea how it should look like. Generally, we disliked the term CyberPunk connected with ourselves, so we came out with our vision of thing. Suprisingly, the guys from EYAS weren't affraid of our ideas. Actually, they decided to support us and help us bring it out to public. From the very start, we thought the event should be about highly talented people who devoted their time and money to computer creations. They all form sort of virtual world called SCENE where they gather, party and compete. Actually it's all about friendhsip in first place. This exhibition will show what's this scene all about. It will present the use of computers and technology as an artistic tool used to create graphics and music, the specific computer forms of creation like intros and demos, and computer generated videos and films. The program of exibition is also available. When you're trying to push your BIG ideas, you meet different people that think they can help and support the idea. However, the people we met were the right ones, who unreservly helped us in various ways. As this is the first big event of this kind both for us and public, we talked about it to so many different people with their own opinions, that we even got affraid of loosing the hard edge this kind of event should have. We gave our best to avoid this from happening and hopefully succeded. General director of "Cinema Rex", where CTW will take place, accepted our ideas and gave her best to provide us with needed technology and media coverage. This web presentation is placed online at S'Soft and OpenNet |
